Born in Kanagawa. In 1977, founded his own kiln in Nagoya, and built another one in Seto in 1983. Selected for and won awards in the Asahi Ceramic Art Exhibition, Choza Prize Ceramic Art Exhibition, Asahi Contemporary Crafts Exhibition, and Chunichi International Exhibition of Ceramic Art, among others. Has held personal exhibitions at locations including the Odawara Aoki Gallery and Tokyo Tomoedo.
