Began creating pottery in 1973, and founded a climbing kiln in 1976, followed by an anagama kiln in 1985. Specializes in yakishime and natural glaze. Has held personal exhibitions in Ginza, Shizuoka Matsuzakaya, Hachioji Daimaru, and Okinawa. Participated in the Modern Japanese Ceramic Art Exhibition in Australia. Teaches at the University of Technology Sydney.
