Graduated from Tokyo University of Agriculture. Trained at a Koishiwara ware kiln in Fukuoka from 1972. Founded a half-underground anagama kiln in 1975. Has held several personal exhibitions in Fukuoka. Independent. Mainly creates unglazed yakishime using clay from the Chikuho area.
