Founded a traditional anagama kiln in the foothills of Mt. Ougi in Oita. Named the style Ougiyama ware. Uses himozukuri and yakishime to create tea utensils and flower vases. Known for the beauty of the natural glaze, made over ten days and nights, and the colors created by the kiln. Has won prefectural exhibitions.
