Born in Shiokawa. Studied under Takita Koichi. First selected for the Kokugaten exhibition in 1970. Won the Best Newcomer Award at Kokugaten in 1972, and has been selected to participate in the exhibition every time since. Also selected for the Japan Folk Crafts Museum’s exhibition. Founded a kiln in Karasawa in 1975. Specializes in greenware and porcelain.
