Born in Tokyo. Graduated the Japan School of Arts and Kawabata Art School. Began pursuing pottery and self-studying in 1946, and went on a pilgrimage around Japan. Using the mud from his hometown, he completed the Takakura-ware in Iruma city, Fukaya city ware, Irimaji-ware in Sayama city, and Muramatsu-ware of Gosen city, Niigata. Presented at Ginza Matsuya, Niigata Mitsukoshi, and more.
