Worked at the Noketsu kiln in Nirasaki City, Yamanashi Prefecture. Studied under his father, Shigematsu and Yasuhara Kimei (1906－1980). He is the president of Japan Creative Tableware Association. Member of Yamanashi Zokei Bijiki-kai, Hakushu-kai and Gendai Koubei Kyokai. Selected for the Nitten and other exhibitions. Held the annual exhibition of creative tableware at Matsuzakaya, Ginza. His works are mainly ceramic carvings, objects and tableware.
