From Hagi, Yamaguchi. Studied under the 11th generation Saka Koraizaemon of the main Hagi ware kiln around the age of 25. Repeatedly trained in traditional Hagi ware thereafter and started a kiln in Nobase, Misumi, Otsu in 1974.
