He was an apprentice of Banura Shiro in Iga’s Marubashira. He then established the Takahi Kiln in Ueno, Mie Prefecture. Held his first exhibition at Yokohama’s Takashimaya in 1982. Specializes in Anagama Yakishime, ash glaze, and Kohiki techniques. Often makes boxes with chamfering and kurinuki as well as flat plates and odd shaped jars.
