Born in Yoichi-gun, Hokkaido. After working at Seto Akatsu, he studied under Akiyama Kazuo in Mashiko for three years. Later, he established the Abiko Pottery Hanyu-gama in Chiba Prefecture. Awarded the Superintendent of Education Prize at the Chiba Prefectural Exhibition and the Governor’s Award at the Saitama Ceramic Art Exhibition. Awarded the Governor’s Prize at the Saitama Ceramic Art Exhibition and others. Awarded at the Kofue-kai Exhibition, Issuikai Exhibition, Kokugakai Exhibition and New Japanese Traditional Craft Exhibition. He is a master of iridescent raze, oil-drop tenmoku, celadon, blue-and-white matt porcelain, leaf tenmoku and cinnabar.
