He started making hand-made raku ware in the middle of his 30 years of service with the Hiroshima Prefectural Police. Studied under Fujiie Tamotsu, a direct descendant of Tanaka Ichibe (1894-1945) in Kyoto. Awarded a prize in the Prefectural Selection. Became a friend of the Shinkyo Art Association. Member of Kure City Art Association. Mainly specializes in tea ceremony ceramics from Raku or Iraboh.
