Born in Yamaguchi Prefecture. Built the kiln in 1970 in Arakawaoki, Ami-cho, Inashiki-gun, Ibaraki Prefecture. Awarded a prize at the Japan Traditional Craft Exhibition and the New Work Exhibition. Member of the Tokyo Branch of Nihon Kogei (Japan Industrial Arts) and Chairman of the Ibaraki Study Group. Member of the Ibaraki Craft Association and the Prefectural Exhibition. Lecturer at the prefectural art course and the Ryugasaki Board of Education. Reviewer for the Tsuchiura Art Exhibition. Focusing on tea ceramics.
