Born in Tokyo. Graduated the Art Crafts department of the Tokyo University of the Arts. Same school as her husband, Furukawa Takahisa. Studied under Kato Hajime. Accepted in various exhibitions including the Japan Traditional Art Crafts Exhibition. Became an official member of the Japan Art Crafts Association in 1978. Held solo exhibitions at Kandori in Kioicho and more. Primarily creates Akae pottery.
