From Naruto, Tokushima Prefecture. Graduated from Kyoto Institute of Technology Ceramics Department. Became a staff member of Tochigi Prefecture Ceramics Guidance Center and was in charge of design. In 1976, Built a kiln and became independent in Mashiko. Mainly works with cutting edge decorations.
