From Shimonoseki, Yamaguchi Prefecture. In 1948, aspire to make ceramics. Studied under Kawai Kanjiro and Tomimoto Kenkichi, and later trained under the eighth generation of Takatori-ware in Kyushu. In 1962, revive Wado Kiln which descended from his hometown’s Shofuzan-ware. Placed in JAPAN CERAMIC ART EXHIBITION.
