1940-
Trained at Shimane Prefectural Ceramic Research Institute and started researching Hagi ware and Rakuzan ware.
Later moved to Kyoto and studied Kyo ware under the 4th generation Asami Gorosuke. Became independent in 1968.
Started a kiln in Kameoka in 1972. Mainly developed tea bowls thereafter by researching Kyo ware and pottery from the Goryeo Kingdom to the Joseon Dynasty.
