She was born as the fifth daughter of Onisaburo Deguchi and Sumi, and started making pottery at the Kamei kiln while conducting Omoto’s missionary activities. At that time, she received guidance from Ishiguro Munemaro and Kaneshige Sozan, who were visiting the kiln, deepening their friendship.
She has produced a wide range of products such as Sanzai ware, white porcelain ware, and Karatsu ware.
