Born in Sinuiju, North Korea. Graduated from Hiroshima University in 1962. He is not bound by the teacher-student relationship or public exhibitions, a nd remains unaffiliated. Has been active in solo exhibitions since 1978. He has had solo exhibitions in Nagoya, Toyohashi Maruei Department store, Higashi-Hiroshima Takeuchi, Kyoto Hougado, Osaka Imahashi Gallery, etc. He mainly makes with oil drop tenmoku and red porcelain tenmoku.
