1902-1972malehashima pottery Hashima-yaki is a ceramic ware fired in the suburbs of Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture.Ogawara Torakichi (1902-1972) founded the kiln.Many of the pieces were produced with daily necessities in mind, and are known for their design, which avoids unnecessary ornamentation and technicalities.
