He was born in Arita-cho. He took the name of Tokuemon the Sixteenth, the inheritor of the 400-year history of Yamaheda-gama, and created ceramics under his successor’s name. Won prizes at the Issuikai Exhibition, the West Japan Ceramic Art Exhibition, and others. Lecturer at the Nishiyama-kai exhibition in Fukuoka City. Tea bowls and vases with a focus on oil drop tenmoku and kiln-transformed crystals.
