Born in Shiga Prefecture. Graduated from Kyoto University of Arts. Studied under Tomimoto Kenkichi. Received training at Tokushima Otani-gama, then moved to Aki City, Kochi Prefecture. Awarded a prize at the Traditional Craft Exhibition and others.
