Born in Takefu City. Studied pottery making and Echizen pottery in 1965. Under the tutelage of Tsuji Shinroku. Vice-chairman of Echizen Pottery Promotion Association and Echizen Pottery Cooperative Association. Became the President of the cooperative in 1983.
