Born in Gunma Prefecture. Graduated from Nihon University. Studied pottery techniques under his father, Kofu. Worked at Ryu Pottery research facility in Minamikoma district, Yamanashi Prefecture. Exhibited many times at the Nitten. Won the Contemporary Art Exhibition Memorial Award, TU Prize and was a member. Member of the Gunma Prefectural Exhibition, Minister of Education’s Honorable Mention, Management Committee Member and auditor. Director of the Gunma Prefectural Art Association and the Gunma Industrial Art Association. Standing Counselor of the Shinseki-kai, and a member of the Board of Directors of the Gunma Prefectural Art Association and the Gunma Industrial Arts Association. Auditor of Fuji Zokei Cultural Foundation. Executive committee member of the Kanagawa Prefecture Exhibition. Visiting professor at Takasaki University of Commerce. Focuses on objets.
