Graduated from the Gifu Prefectural Ceramic Experiment Station. Built Kichi-gama kiln in Ichinokura, his hometown. Oribe, Kizeto and Ko-sometsuke are his main works. Awarded prizes at the Asahi Ceramic Art Exhibition, Tokai Traditional Craft Exhibition, Chunichi International Ceramic Art Exhibition, and others. Solo exhibitions at Tokyo Gallery Gen, Shinjuku Genkai, and Ginza Matsuya.
