Graduated from Kyoto Municipal Second High School and later studied at the National Ceramic Testing Institute. Studied under his father, Keizan. Won prizes at the Kyoto Arts and Crafts Exhibition and other competitions. His works are mainly red clay Mishima, brush strokes Mishima, Kohiki and high-fired unglazed ceramics.
