Hizen Ozakiyaki pottery
It is a pottery produced in Kanzaki City, Saga Prefecture. It is one of the oldest kilns in Kyushu, and according to legend, defeated soldiers living in Ozaki, who were half-captured after the Kouan War (1281), began making pottery using techniques brought from the continent. There are other theories about the roots of the pottery, but there is a place locally known as “the ruins of the old mongolian residence” where old pottery has been excavated.
