Learned at the Kyoto Municipal Industrial Research Institute. Studied under Nishikawa Minoru. Became independent in 1977. Awarded at the Nitten and other exhibitions. Won the Nitten Craft Award, the Yomiuri Newspaper Award, the Kyoto Art Association Award at the Kyo-Ten (Kyoto Exhibition), the Akane Award, the Prefectures Exhibition Award, and the Mayor of Kyoto Prize at the Nisshin Kogyo Kinki Exhibition, among others. Vases and other works in black kohl colors and lines. Also making ceramic walls.
