Studied under Ota Kumao of Koishiwara ware. He built a climbing kiln in 1959 and a basement kiln in 1973. Awarded the Japan Industrial Arts Council Prize at the Seibu Arts and Crafts Exhibition, the Minister of International Trade and Industry Prize at the Japan Folk Crafts Exhibition, and others. Selected for the Japan Traditional Craft Exhibition and other competitions. Judge at the prefectural exhibition. Standing director of the Prefectural Art Association.
