Born in Fukuoka Prefecture. He learned at the Takatori Higashi Sarayama Kiln in the city when he was in junior high school, where he had his first encounter with pottery. Later, while hospitalized for war wounds, he came into contact with Rosanjin of Kamakura and entered the world of ceramics. Selected for the Governor’s Award, Traditional Craft Exhibition and regional exhibitions. Mainly produces tea ceremony ceramics with tenmoku, well and iron glaze.
