Born in Yamagata Prefecture. Graduated from the Tokyo Craft Design Institute. Studied under Watanabe Rokuro. Became independent in 1977. Awarded a prize at the Traditional Craft New Work Exhibition. Solo and group exhibitions including Mito Keisei and Ginza Matsuya Works mainly in gray glaze (Irabo) with comb pattern and line patterns.
