Born in Koishiwara. Studied under Okiayu Yoichi, Hakata doll maker. Became independent in 1966 and established a pottery studio. Awarded at the Japan Ceramic Art Exhibition, Seibu Craft Exhibition, Kyushu-Yamaguchi Ceramic Exhibition, and others. Solo exhibitions at Nihonbashi Takashimaya, Osaka Daimaru, Mitsukoshi Hiroshima, Fukuoka Tamaya and others, and father and son exhibitions.
