The Akahada-yaki Pottery is a pottery studio that carries on the tradition of Okuda Mokuhaku, a master craftsman of the Edo period who was instrumental in the revival of Akahada-yaki. His works are located near Horyu-ji Temple and at the Kaohashi Kiln under the Nara Koriyama Castle. His work was selected for the Nitten and Prefectural Exhibitions. Awarded the Toto Prize of the Toto Society and the Grand Prix of the World Art Exhibition of America. Director of the Art Association of Japan. Served as a director of the Prefectural Craft Association and a judge of the Prefectural Exhibition. Mainly works on traditional Akahada-yaki ceramics such as Nara-e.
