Born in Niitsu, Niigata Prefecture. At first he studied under Homma Isao on Sado Island, and later under Matsuyama Norinao in Kasama. Established Oshimi Kiln in Niitsu in 1984. His work was selected for the Traditional Craft New Work Exhibition. Solo exhibitions at Tenjinya Gallery in Niitsu and elsewhere.
