From Sasaguri, Fukuoka Prefecture. Graduated from Fukuoka High. Pursues ceramics alongside company management. Learned from Goya Fuyuo. Set up a kiln in Suemachi, Kasuya District, in 1974, and built a climbing kiln there in 1980. Selected for the West Japan Pottery Exhibition and others. Focuses on iron glaze and oil-spot tenmoku ceramics that go through color variation during firing.
