From Saga City. Made ceramics from 1945 onwards alongside the reconstruction and leadership of the Omoto religious sect. Learned the fundamentals from Kaneshige Toyo and glazing from Kato Tokuro. Selected for the Japan Ceramics Exhibition, the Japan Traditional Crafts Exhibition, and the Issui-kai Exhibition. Has held two-person exhibitions at the Ayabe Chamber of Commerce and Industry, etc. Makes a wide range of ceramics, including Oribe ware, Shino ware, cinnabar lacquerware, celadon porcelain, Tamba ware, and Shigaraki ware.
