From Usuki City. Inherited Yasuno Ware in 1968. Has received third place in the Kyushu Yamaguchi Exhibition, the Technique Award, the Mainichi Newspaper Award, and the RKB Mainichi Broadcasting Award. Has exhibited his works in the West Japan Ceramics Exhibition and received the Governor’s Prize in Kumamoto and Kagoshima Prefectures. Received the Nakama City Mayor’s Prize in a prefectural exhibition. Received the Fukuoka City Mayor’s Prize in the West Japan Craft Exhibition, as well as the Japan Kogei Association Prize, etc. Selected for the Japan Traditional Crafts Exhibition and others. Branch member of the Japan Kogei Association. Focuses on ceramics that undergo color variation during firing, and tenmoku ceramics with oil-spot or foliage patterns.
