Real name is Junjiro. Graduated from Kochi University. Learned from his grandfather Shusaburo (a cloisonne ware maker) and his father Takeo (a Western-style painter). Decided to pursue ceramic art in 1969. Received an honorable mention in the Okayama prefecture exhibition. Selected for the Issui-kai Exhibition and others. President of the Mizushima Ceramics Society. Member of this clay society. Three-person exhibitions at Kurashiki Tenmaya and other solo exhibitions. Focuses on vases and tea bowls, mainly using glazed ceramics and underglaze iron decorations.
