Kodama Kenji 児玉健二

1926-maleBorn in Taiwan. Returned to his mother’s home on the Naeshiro River in Kagoshima after the end of the Second World War. Studied the Kurosatsuma striking technique under his grandfather Tanaka Ryusei. Built a 4-chamber noborigama (climbing kiln) near the Naeshiro River in 1973 and inherited the traditions of Kurosatsuma-ware.
