Born in Chiba prefecture. Graduated from Nishogakusha University. Later worked at Kasama Ceramics and built a kiln in 1973. Focused on solo exhibitions at Tsuchiurabashi Gallery, Matsuya Ginza, Akasaka Inui G, others. Along with iron glazing and hakeme (using brush strokes on ceramics), pushed into new frontiers with three-dimensional modeling.
