Graduated from Bizen Prefectural High School and then Okayama University, where he later became a lecturer in the Bizen High Ceramics Department. Built a kiln in Honami in 1972. Learned to make teaware in the Omotesenke style as well as flower arrangement in the Senkeiryu style. Selected for prefectural exhibitions, Japan Kogei Association East Chugoku Branch Exhibition, others.
