Born in Tokoname, Aichi prefecture. Graduated from the Tokoname High Ceramics Department and Seto High Ceramics Department. Studied under his father Reiko starting in 1975. Recipient of the Tokai Traditional Crafts Exhibition Nagoya Board of Education Award, Chunichi International Exhibition Honorable Mention, Choza Award, Honorable Mention, others. Selected for the Japan Traditional Crafts Exhibition, others. Regular member of the Japan Kogei Association. Primarily focused on vermilion clay and kiln black ceramics.
