Born in Isesaki, Gunma prefecture. Studied under Kato Haruo in Seto. Returned home in 1979 to build a kiln. Recipient of Tokai Traditional Crafts Exhibition Governor’s Award, etc. Selected for the Japanese Traditional Crafts Exhibition and New Works Exhibition. Solo exhibitions at Seibu Shibuya, Akasaka Green G, Iwataya Fukuoka, others. Primarily focused on iron underglaze, kizeto, koseto, Oribe.
