Got his start in ceramics in 1945 studying under Fujii Tatsukichi. One of the great elder statesmen of the Seto pottery world with over half a century spent contributing to the history of his art. Selected for many exhibitions, including Bunten and Nitten exhibitions. Did not participate in public exhibitions after 1962, preferring solo exhibitions instead. Primarily focused on red painted clay.
