Born in Chiba, Japan.
1991 Graduated from Musashino Junior College of Art and Design, Major Course in Ceramics.
1997 Worked at the Shiga Prefectural Ceramic Cultural Center.
1999: Selected for the Asahi Contemporary Craft Exhibition; President’s Prize, Hokuriku Broadcasting Company, Kanazawa Craft Exhibition; Selected for the 6th Ceramic Art Biennale; numerous other awards. Invited to the Canberra School of Art, National University of Australia.
2000 Awarded the Encouragement Prize at the Kanazawa City Craft Exhibition.
2004 Exhibited at the National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo’s Crafts Gallery in the exhibition “Ruthless Objects: Eleven Contemporary Craftspeople.
