One of the leading artists in the world of Japanese ceramics, Ms. Koike studied ceramics at the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, and after completing her graduate studies there, has been active mainly in solo exhibitions at galleries. Her unique and formative “vessels” have been highly acclaimed in Japan and abroad, and are in the collections of many museums, including the Victoria and Albert Museum in the UK and the Cleveland Museum of Art in the US.
