Kubota Atsuko 久保田厚子

Born in Tokyo, Japan. Graduated from Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music with a major in ceramics. In 1980, she was selected for the first time for the 27th Exhibition of Japanese Traditional Crafts, and since then she has been showing his works mainly at the same exhibition. At the 43rd exhibition, she was awarded the Asahi Newspaper Award. She has been working on beautiful blue and white porcelain with geometrical patterns using sand blasting and pasted flowers. She is a regular member of the Japan Kogei Association. She is a professor at the Faculty of Design, Okayama Prefectural University.
