Born in Kyoto Prefecture. Graduated from the prefectural training school for ceramic art. Studied tea ceremony pottery at Nishimura Tokusen Workshop and built the kiln in Fushimi, Kyoto in 1980. Won prizes at the Japan Traditional Craft Exhibition, the Kinki Branch Exhibition, the Kyoto Exhibition, and others. Solo exhibition at Osaka Centurion, etc. Main works are tenmoku (iron glazed), celadon and blue-and-white porcelain.
