Born in Ichinomiya city. Together with her husband Sekio, she created Monjugama kiln and was a ceramic artisan. She was awarded among others, the Chunichi Award at the Tosai-kai exhibition. Her works were selected for exhibitions such as the Female Ceramic Art Exhibition, the Asia Art Exhibition, and the Genten Exhibition. She specialized in tea wares, and created Shino, Oribe, Setoguro, Koseto, and Kizeto.
