Trained at the Shigaraki Ceramics Laboratory. Studied under Kumakura Junkichi. Began independent work in 1976. Received the Minister of Education’s Award at the Japan Ceramic Art Exhibition, among other awards. Selected for the Asahi Ceramic Art Exhibition, the Chunichi International Exhibition of Ceramic Art, the Asahi Contemporary Crafts Exhibition, and others. Creates cubist works.
