Born in Shigaraki. Studied under Kawai Zuiho in Kyoto. Active in Nitten and the Japan Contemporary Craft Exhibition. In 1973 he moved to Iga, and attempted to make tea bowls in the old Iga style. Has held personal exhibitions at locations including Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi, Osaka, and Nagoya Mitsukoshi.
